The JW & M Cunningham Foundation was established in June 2019 with a founding gift of $10 million from John Cunningham AM SCM and Margaret Cunningham AM.

John and Margaret have supported St Vincent’s Hospitals in NSW since 2011. They realised that their ongoing commitment to the Hospitals could be more strategically managed by establishing a new Foundation to support the Hospitals in perpetuity.

John and Margaret’s vision is to continue growing the Foundation in order to generate annual income from the corpus and donated shares, to provide annual grants in perpetuity. Their ongoing generosity is an outstanding act of philanthropy which is already benefitting patients of St Vincent’s Hospitals.
