The construction of the new Ernest Heine Family Foundation Emergency Trauma Operating Theatre, which will help our emergency operating teams to ‘save time and save lives’, is now well underway.
This Cunningham Foundation grant ensures that the new theatre will have the essential hybrid operating table that is central to the new hybrid operating system, which features the latest technology in minimally invasive image-guided surgery, resuscitation equipment and other life support technologies. It is central to the successful completion of the total $10.65 million project.
