The 2020–21 Cunningham Foundation grants have now provided funding for a new transoesophageal echocardiogram (TOE ) and upgraded software to support ongoing development of precision surgery within the heart–lung surgical stream. The TOE is a specialised cardiac ultrasound providing clearer images for more accurate interpretation.
