The JW & M Cunningham Foundation grants for 2021/22 aligned strongly with St Vincent’s Hospital priorities, as well as being underpinned by the vision of founders John and Margaret Cunningham.
Project grants focussed on areas where the Cunningham Foundation can make a real difference to providing essential start-up funding, completing capital works projects or enabling rapid acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment.
- $1.6 million for the Heart Lung Clinic and ICU Expansion
- $500,000 for the Green Park Urban Health Hub
- $800,000 for the MAKO Robot at St Vincent’s Private Hospital
- $445,000 for new patient transport Ambulances
- $370,000 for Movement Disorders clinical trials and equipment, specifically MRI guided Focused Ultrasound treatment for Essential Tremor, dystonic tremor and Parkinson’s tremor
- $200,000 for oncology research in genomic high-risk cancer clinics and genetic testing
- $200,000 for the Cunningham Nursing Leadership Academy
